1st National Sarfaranga Marathon 2025 held in Shigar District
The first National Sarfaranga Marathon 2025 was held in Shigar District, Gilgit-Baltistan under the auspices of Pakistan Army.
A total of one thousand athletes from across Pakistan participated in the twenty one kilometer marathon, including local athletes from Gilgit-Baltistan as well as international participants.
Both domestic and foreign tourists described the event as memorable and said that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting healthy activities and tourism in the region.
The athlete who secured first position received a cash prize of six hundred thousand rupees. In total, four million rupees worth of prizes, trophies and shields were distributed.
