Militants Kill Five Policemen in KP Assaults

Five police personnel were martyred and eight others were seriously wounded in attacks on the Force in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday night. 

 militants targeted the police personnel in Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Peshawar and Bannu. 

One cop was martyred while another was injured during the police encounter with militants in Hassan Khel area of Peshawar. 

Three police personnel were martyred while six were injured when militants attacked a police van in Upper Dir.

Similarly, one cop lost his life when militants attacked a police checkpoint in Lower Dir.

It is pertinent to mention here that militants’ attacks on police personnel in KP refuse to cease despite efforts by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) to control them.
