The connectivity of all four districts of the Baltistan Division with other parts of the country has still not been fully restored.

In Skardu, the supply of petroleum products remains disrupted, alongside electricity outages and interruptions in the water supply system. However, the Skardu–Gilgit road has been temporarily reopened, allowing some vehicles, including fuel tankers, to pass.

At Bagicha, the administration managed to temporarily restore the road after 17 hours of continuous work, partially reviving the supply chain. Traffic on the Skardu–Gilgit road is expected to be fully restored by tomorrow.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Skardu, a bridge that collapsed at Ustak, which had blocked the route, is being converted into an alternate track, and heavy vehicles are expected to pass over it starting tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in Kharmang’s Kati Sho area, two women were swept away by a sudden flood during crop harvesting. Rescue teams have launched an operation to search for them.
