BISP Chairperson Reaches Out to Flood Victims in Swabi, Buner, and Swat

 Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the flood-affected areas of Swabi, Buner, and Swat to oversee relief efforts and distribute aid among the victims.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid urged all political parties to set aside their differences and unite in helping flood victims. She stressed that the grief of families who lost their loved ones in the floods is shared by the entire nation.

During her visit, Senator Khalid distributed blankets, clean drinking water, tents, and food supplies among the flood-stricken people. She highlighted that BISP’s mobile teams are conducting surveys at the doorsteps of flood victims across the country to ensure that no affected family is overlooked.

“The BISP staff is standing shoulder to shoulder with flood victims during this difficult time. Financial assistance will be provided on a priority basis to all those affected,” she assured.

The Chairperson further appealed that flood-hit areas be declared disaster-stricken and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts by federal and provincial governments to support the victims. She also called upon philanthropists and international donors to step forward in extending assistance.

“Flood victims are waiting for help, and the entire nation must stand with them,” Senator Rubina Khalid said, adding that immediate provision of relief goods, health facilities, and concrete measures for rehabilitation are crucial.

She concluded by underlining the importance of collective efforts to restore homes and livelihoods of those affected.
