DPM reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to SDGs at SAP Steering Committee Meeting

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired the 47th meeting of the Steering Committee of the Sustainable Development Goals Achievement Programme (SAP) today.

The session centered on expediting progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong emphasis on uplifting disadvantaged communities by enhancing access to essential services and infrastructure.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to aligning national development strategies with the SDGs. He underscored the importance of inclusive and equitable growth, particularly initiatives that directly address the needs of marginalized and vulnerable populations across the country.

The high-level meeting marks another step forward in Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to meet its international commitments under the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
