Ishaq Dar Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to Peace in Call with UN Chief
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to international peace, security, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Dar highlighted Pakistan’s agenda and role during its presidency of the UN Security Council, stating that the country would play an active role in promoting peaceful conflict resolution as Council president.
He also assured continued support for the effective implementation of the UN mandate.
Both leaders agreed to meet on the sidelines of the upcoming UN Security Council session in New York.
