Maryam Nawaz launches electric bus service in Sargodha

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the green electric bus service in Sargodha on Friday. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, she announced that 60 electric buses will be provided for Sargodha city, while a total of 105 buses have been allocated for the entire Sargodha division.
Highlighting development initiatives, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan achieved a historic victory against India in the Marka-e-Haq.
She added that Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif had gifted Sargodha with major development projects, including a motorway.
Maryam Nawaz also noted that within just one year, the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha became operational, providing specialized medical care.
She said that the best doctors from across Punjab have been selected to serve the people of the Sargodha division.
The Chief Minister announced that women, children, students, senior citizens, and disabled individuals will travel free of cost in the new electric buses, which are also equipped with free Wi-Fi and mobile charging facilities.
Addressing flood rehabilitation, Maryam Nawaz said Punjab had faced one of the worst floods in its history.
She announced that families whose houses were destroyed will receive Rs1 million each, while those whose homes were partially damaged will be provided Rs500,000 each.
If timely arrangements had not been made in the flood situation, there could have been a big loss, Maryam Nawaz said.
She said during the PTI era, Pakistan was suffering from decline and bad news was heard every day.
Nawaz Sharif was removed and an incompetent person and an incompetent team were imposed, Maryam Nawaz added.
Maryam Nawaz said 27 cities and 5,000 villages were affected by the flood while 2.5 million victims were rescued and shifted to relief camps.
