Pakistan Army continues flood relief operations in different areas of KP

The Pakistan Army is continuing its large-scale relief and rescue operations for the seventh consecutive day in the flood-affected districts of Buner, Swat, Shangla, and Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The military’s coordinated response is focused on providing aid, rescuing trapped individuals, and restoring critical infrastructure in the wake of the recent devastation.
Army search and rescue teams, including the specialized Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team from the Corps of Engineers, are actively engaged in the field. They are working tirelessly to recover bodies from the debris and search for the injured. Simultaneously, troops are carrying out mass evacuations, moving people from flood-hit areas to safer locations.
In a significant step towards restoring normalcy, the crucial Qadir Nagar to Bhittai Dara road has been reopened, facilitating access for relief supplies and machinery.
Medical teams from the Pakistan Army have also established camps in the affected areas, where they are providing free treatment and medicines to the local population.
The military has affirmed that the rescue and relief mission will continue without pause until the complete rehabilitation and restoration of the affected communities and regions is achieved. The efforts are a critical part of the broader national response to the ongoing flood crisis in the province, which has claimed hundreds of lives.
