PM Shehbaz reaffirms strong partnership with WEF

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Saadia Zahidi, Managing Director and Member of the Managing Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF), in Islamabad today. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the long-standing partnership between Pakistan and the WEF, with a focus on sustainable development and economic cooperation.

Prime Minister Sharif appreciated the WEF’s continued engagement with Pakistan, particularly through its annual meetings in Davos, Switzerland. He highlighted the significant economic recovery Pakistan has achieved in recent years and expressed a keen interest in expanding collaboration with the WEF in key areas such as economic growth, gender inclusion, vocational training, and digitization.

Saadia Zahidi thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and acknowledged Pakistan’s positive economic trajectory. She also commended the reform efforts being undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing a renewed commitment to advancing mutual goals and deepening their cooperation in pursuit of inclusive and sustainable development.
