PM Shehbaz Sharif set to meet Chinese premier, lead investment conference

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet Chinese Premier Li Qiang today (Thursday) to hold talks on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on trade, investment, and development projects. The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional security, global economic challenges, and other matters of mutual interest.

The prime minister, who is in China on a six-day visit, mainly to attend the SCO moots and the Victory Day parade, will also hold a meeting with Chinese Minister for Information Technology and Industry Li Lecheng.

This will follow the holding of the second edition of the Pakistan-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference to be held here and presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz.

The conference will review the outcomes of the first edition, chaired by Shehbaz Sharif in Shenzhen in June 2024, and outline future plans.
